I just received some private feedback about my last blog. I was told that it made them feel defeated.
That is not good. I was doing my thinking out loud and doubts do intrude from time to time.
But hear this! I will publish this novel one way or another. People will enjoy my book because it IS good. And it is something of which I will be proud.
Publishing and marketing are the hardest parts of the journey for the author. I think it’s because you have your product ready to go and you have to jump all these hurtles. You’ll make it through! I always hear how hard it is but it isn’t impossible. Glad to hear your positivity!

I’m not sure if you’d call it positivity or raw determination. 🙂 I really like challenges and trying something new… so I am stoked for this!

I didn’t find the tone of your last blog negative. You’re just writing what a blog is supposed to be – talk about everything whether it’s good, bad or ugly! I want to hear it all! If I want to hear only about sunshine and roses then I’ll ask strangers how they’re feeling and they will reply with a smile and “fine thanks” no matter what they are feeling 🙂

Thanks for your comment. I do want my blog to convey the ups, downs, frustrations and excitement of going through the process of trying to get an agent and getting published. I will continue to lay my soul out there for all to see so that when I get published and an another new writer comes after me, they may see that I had the same doubts and insecurities as they might be having.
But I certainly don’t want to discourage anyone.
